Chat box went poof?

Where did the mirc chat box go? Is it under construction? Just curious because the view of the board to me is a bit wonky so I'm wondering if it's just me or the big guns updating something.

Please let me know. It would be appreciated!

Thanks Morgan! However I just tried a minute ago, I signed in and it said it was blocked so I can't get in?

I don't see how.I checked what I had blocked and this wasn't....This is strange.

I removed the webchat script because it was giving errors to all users over a certification issue. I might put it back when darkmyst.org has fixed the error

Oh- and Empy, I highly recommend using a chat program like mIRC or Trillian to access the chat room and not the web applet. I think you'll find that one of these programs will work much better for you.

Here's how you can get away from webchat and into the channel at the same time:

Go to http://www.mirc.com and grab the most recent version

Run the setup, choosing 'launch mirc' when finished.

The first settings screen is easy, just fill in the blanks, but do NOT click connect to IRC server yet.

Over in the left-hand column, (or it may be a drop-down box, I use an older copy of mirc, myself) there will be a line labeled 'servers' - click on this and choose 'Random DarkMyst Server' from the list.

Now click back onto that first screen by clicking 'Connections' in the top of the left-hand pane and then 'Connect to IRC Server'

After it connects you to a darkmyst server, type /j #tazlure

We can help you further in there after you get connected.

Abbs, i ot the updated stuff. It's just not working.

I tried your way Aerin athough i have mirc. It didn't work. Got blocked and it shouldn't be blocked. GRRRRRRRR!

i give up figuring it out. I'll just come back to it later.

Got 'blocked'?

Go to Start -> run -> Control panel. Find "Windows Firewall" and set it to 'Off" (it's about as useless as Britney Spears as a foster mom anyway) and it shouldn't 'block' you any more.
