Account Switching

This is a function that is only usable and relevant for players who have an approved second character and have been allowed to make a second login for this character.

No other players are allowed to have second logins!

OK, so for the players that need to use this,
this is how to do it:

1.
on your main account go to your profile.
Scroll down to the section "Account Switch Settings"
First time, click on the "Don't have a PID yet? Click here" thingy.
Enter your login and password, and enter any number, just make sure its a number you can remember.

2.
Logout and login with your other login.
Go to your profile and scroll to the "Account Switch Settings" again.
There you can now enter the login/password and pid of your main account.
That done, click on the "submit" at the bottom.

And presto! Go back to the index and you can switch between accounts easily

Is it allowable to set up the switching thing between accounts run by two different people who use the same computer? My partner has joined the game as well, and it's going to be a pain to have to log in and out every time.

Yes, if you let us know who your partner's PC is, so we don't get any raised eyebrows when a random IP check is done and you come out with a double PC (which is a sweep we make at least every month). I'll simply make a note of it in the secret GM log of your sheet and that of your partner and that will prevent discussions

Hi Meave,

I don't know if my brother's IP and mine are still the same. My brother bought a new laptop a time ago and it seemed logical to me that he has a other ip-adress now, but it's been a long time ago since he posted. So... can you check if our IP is different from eachother please

this only workd for two accounts? We couldnt get it to link more then that, say for certain GM's with several NPC accounts?

Oh and how to UNDO a linkage?

tygs, it works for multiple npc accounts -- just link them all to your main login. dunno about unlinking.

There was a bug in the account switching with loginnames containing a '.
That is fixed now
