It did appear that they were to be split, like it or not. It seemed only Shae, Motley, the red headed woman who also thought rushing about a bit foolhardy, the brunette talking to Clovis and himself remained, the rest either having been evicted, or following the elf towards the explosion.

"Wellll. I guess a meal does have some attractions, but I think we're here for a reason, and I doubt it's to just have a meal.

"So I guess we follow." Rhoddin looked up towards Motley, calling to his companion of earlier, "What say you good Motley, do we follow the others, or wait awhile and see what develops?"

Looking towards the remaining women, the young bard posed a similar question. "Would you care to tag along with us? Or would you ladies prefer to wait here?" It seemed that everything was happening at once.

It mattered very little in the end. All they said seemed to have very little effect and that was understandable. But, Gavin was not about to give up. Not quite ready to do so. He heard the guards words and turned back to Draydis, worried that the adhiel might do something stupid. "Come on, Dray, let's go. Leave them to their secrets. We'll find out what happened later." Standing halfway to the exit he waited for the Emerald Guard Commander to follow.

Of course he had no intention to leave. He just did not want another scene. The curved road leading away would provide for many places where he could jump out of the coach and approach the house again. On foot this time. Sneaking in through the window should pose no problem as well, and while the lack of opportunity to work with the others could be a problem it was unavoidable. With Dray at his side, he could investigate the house, and maybe see what the Nether was going on here.

In normal circumstances, Gaelena would have stayed calm. She would have kept her head, trying to reason things out. But this wasn't normal circumstances. This was just bizarre. By the Mother, she thought with a deep sigh and a throwing up her of her hands. People running off in different directions, other guests being forced to leave.

Turning to the only one who seemed to have lick of sense in his mind, she addressed Rhoddin. "Well now, we can not be allowing them to have all the fun, can we? I'm for doing some careful investigation. Running about without a plan does not appeal to me, nor, if my summation of you is correct, does it appeal to you."

She looked at the remaining individuals in the room seeing if they too wanted to join.

The words to the guard had no effect...almost as if he didn't even hear them. Dray simply shrugged and followed behind Gavin.

As he left the dining room, Draydis looked about the house. The guard was human and wore armor...and Dray knew he could outrun him.

When Gavin spoke, something told the adhiel that the night was not yet over. Gavin was never one to give up. With that in mind, Dray followed his big friend.

"Yes, I would suspect it will be nicer outside anyway." The words were directed to Gavin. A spark in Dray's eyes reflected that there was more to his words than what he said...

Guard wrote: "You would do well to accompany the lady..." he nodded in Kaelara's direction "...on her ride back into the city. The roads aren't safe in this area after dark," he added.

Mildly disgruntled that the guard saw fit to dismiss her with the malcontents, however pleasant they had seemed before, she nonetheless swooped after the two departing figures. At least if it came to defending... and why wouldn't the roads be safe here? She caught a shiver that threatened to tingle down her spine.

"If they are drawing my carriage, I would be pleased to share it with you both on the return journey... this misleading visit has obviously been something of a waste of time." Her words flicked out perhaps before they were aware of her presence, but Kaelara was not quite looking at them directly, her eyes were scanning the quiet surroundings, taking note of noises and things which might be out of place. I suppose allowing the human a place cannot be helped... a quiet sigh was stifled, and her amber eyes touched cooly on the two men briefly to note their responses.

Features darkened on Lir's face as she was ignored by the butler and the guard. It was an annoyance and she lost her opportunity to see if something was wrong with the food and drink. The tightening in her jaw muscle was the only sign of her anger at being ignored by the manor staff.

She watched as the Ashtallion, Talanwei, Brionna, and Becca headed to the west wing. Her eyes caught Talanwei's and in her mind she wished him safety.

The the West wing group left, Rhoddin addressed the rest of them and listened to what everyone else had to say. She looked at the food and honestly was not very hungry having eaten before arriving here. It was actually the last thing on her mind which was also why it seemed very odd that the cook continued to bring out the next entrees.

"I suppose checking to see if the rest of the house is intact may be just as important as checking to see if there were any injuried in the West Wing." She interjected an idea. The other three that were going to leave had made their leave, but some how she doubted that the two men would be escorted out so easily. They will be back. And if they aren't how disappointing.
