Looking good Laveraux! Maybe if you could alter the reflextion in the water a bit, because on the background I see land in total blackness, but in the reflextion I see light.

Isn't that still the lighthouse though?

Lol, could be, it just looked a bit weird to me, but if it's just me, I'll shut up :)

Hehe, you kids...

Actually that bit is another small island with a bit of water reflection beneath it... there is more water between that island and the background... although the angle is such you can't see it. I may be able to fix that a bit.

Alright, nothing spectacular, but a bit of what I see as the exit cave of Gulanadur. It's just a background, I planned on adding something to the foreground, but then nothing was really working, so currently, it's a landscape-ish kind of thing.

Open for comments, really!

Just thinking of the light source - visiably being the moon, and yet the rock is lit up on this side? Maybe as the forground you could add in something that lights the rocks on this side?

Thnx Madeline! I was actually just working on it, and moving the light source around. The purple water is also a light source, so I might just work off that as well. Great to have someone commenting though... the Drawing Bard is rather empty of late.

It's all quite inspiring isn't it... I kinda feel like painting up something Tazlure-ish too!

Did this, inspired by the description of Northbridge, the entrance to World's Mouth.

eh. I'm not sure it actually looks anything like Northbridge now it's done. But I enjoyed doing it.... my first piece of "proper" digital painting - I usually do comic art-like stuffs.

mmm. misty. O_o

so yeah. I'm donating it. So if you like it, have it. =)
obviously, I'm gonna post this elsewhere, and stick it in my online portfolio, etc.

anyway. hope you like it. =)

woo! cool, glad you like it! =) it's a bit rough and ready, specially round the edges. but it ain't too bad, imo.

probably gonna do some more, in the near future. I need to practice me digital painting, and tazlure provides such nice vivid descriptions to work up pictures from...

any suggestions? ;)

I'll do a better properer one later on, I promise. =) as soon as I have a day off work, and not just an evening to mess about...

Finley, I must compliment you on your works of art. They are really great, fantastic even. I am surprised at how well your last painting is, in just one hour's time. It is quite a work of art. God certainly blessed you with an amazing ability my friend.

Wow. Well done Finley. :D

I was just going to write back that a view from the Black Tower seemed more in line with your Northbridge pic.

However, it seems you were more than up to the challenge.

Finley, that truly is perfectly staggering. The sense of density you gave the background...the sense of the urban scape beyond...and the almost angelic quality of the architecture itself...are perfectly amazing. Nicely done!

wow. well.... crikey. O_O
thank you for all your kind words! and they are, very kind...

eh, and it's not talent. I kind of object to people saying I have talent... maybe I have an eye for colour and layout - lots of people do. The rest is practice and hard work, and that's the truth. I didn't just sit down one day and go "oh look! I can draw!!" *gasp!* =D
it's taken eh.... 4 or 5 years of serious work to get reasonably good. Everyone can draw! everyone can draw very well, too - it's just most people don't practice obsessively every day for years... XD

sorry. I have a picky thing about that. It's totally ridiculous and I apologise. =)

oh, yeah. I'm gonna do some more, I expect. have a day off tomorrow so can put some serious effort into it.. =D ehh...
