The war between the human peasants and the adhiel nobles raged for days. No one was safe from attack from either the Brotherhood or the Firelords - provideded they were the wrong race. The achadhiel, of course, caught the brunt of it all. The Queen, who had been hoping that the fighting would resolve itself without her intervention, finally sent out the guards to stop the riots in no uncertain terms. The jails were full of would-be fighters, kept there until the Queen made her decision. Her advisors took time to speak with human and adhiel alike, compiling a list of grievances on both parts to the Queen for her to make her decision.

When she did, it wasn't one that pleased the Firelords. The humans had legitimate grievances, she declared, and set forth changes that were to take affect immediately. While some of the humans still wanted more, the ability to purchase land and the ability to move from landholder to landholder in search of better wages was enough to satisfy many. She also set forth a new position of Minister of Human Affairs, a position that was to be forever held by a human rather than an adhiel. Some of the humans petitioned for the Wolf to be allowed to take this position, but the Queen refused to even entertain such a request. The Wolf, she insisted, would be tried and executed for his crimes against Queen and Country. This molified some of the more conservative adhiel among her people, but, like their human counterparts, not all were satisfied.

This upheaval and change also allowed the seamier side of Kislovan to gain a stronger foothold. While the slave trade had been temporarily stopped, some that had made a fair amount in that business had money to lend their less fortunate brothers. For a price, of course. Organized crime, something that had thus far had only a faint touch on the island, gained a firmer hold. Drugs, prostitution, and most importantly money lending for a "small" fee became rampant. New players to the game seemed to arrive every day, yet no one had taken a firm leadership of this growing interest.

As the middle of Chyril approaches, the Queen and her advisers decide that it is time to throw off all of the worries of the past and celebrate. It is the Queen's birthday and along with the celebration, she is offering amnesty to those who participated in the riots a few moons earlier. She declares, in a prepared message, that the past is gone and it is now time to move forward as a united nation. Only by dismissing the problems of the past can they do that.

The celebration is to last a week and a call has gone out to the islands looking for entertainers to join some of Kislovan's own fine artists. Acrobats, musicians, magicians, actors... anyone and everyone is welcome to Kislovan to help celebrate. It promises to be a week of enjoyment and artistry, fun and frolicking. And, of course, surprises all around.
