Hafne: The Romping Donkey Tavern

The Romping Donkey is a large, three storey ramshackle of a building, its black timbers warped and crooked with age. Various owners have added extensions on to the original structure - not all of them well constructed - and now the Donkey is a veritable rats nest of corridors and small, private chambers. So large is the Donkey that it has two ends - the Hayend and the Tailend - which are used for separate functions; the Tailend is a haunt for bards and dancers, whilst the Hayend - as the name suggests - serves food and ale, notably Ferret's Breath, a local brew renown for its ferocity. The entrance to the Hayend has a picture of a donkey's head upon it; the Tailend has a different picture . The upper storeys consist of chambers which travellers can hire; rumours of other services for sale in the upper storeys remain unconfirmed. The doors of the Donkey famously never close, and its food, ale, hospitality and friendliness are legendary.
