Corbin was going to go and see the City Guard, but he had no desire to go there and get a boot up his arse for his troubles. It seemed to him that they were unlikely to take kindly to a University of Magic student poking their nose into a supposedly closed case about the Slayer. But that was what Corbin intended to do. If the Slayer was still out there, which Corbin suspected to be true, then he needed to be stopped. Or they. If what Samantha had said was true then there was more than one person involved. That Corbin suspected a cult of some kind might be behind the murders was hopefully sufficient to get a writ from the University bailiff, as Professor Moore had suggested. There was also the other matter of the man in the sewer. Corbin had nothing really to go on there, other than the tattoo, but it was possible something would crop up.
Having sought directions to the University bailiff, Corbin made his way to the office to seek the official out.
