The Sun shines upon the dawn of recollection -TT 31st- Open

The glorious Summer City upon the white cliffs of the magical Mer de la Luna in the Western Kingdom that harbours many nobles. Home to the Summer Palace of the former King as well as vineyards that produce the city's famous wines. Anything is possible here, if you are willing to bring the right sacrifices.

Callara fell to the floor, yet she felt neither the will nor the control to prevent it. Her mind filled with images and thoughts. A lifetime of experiences all crammed into flickers. Like a person greeting death, her life flashed before her eyes. Yet it was not death which greeted her, but an aspect of her own mind. A spirit which she had claimed as her own.

She wondered what she would do. Once she would be inclined to fight the negative emotions. She had always done so. Her mind a machine of logic, dictating her every action. When she was young, she had always presumed it logical for her not to react strongly, since strong reactions only provoked even stronger reactions. So she had always been timid and quiet. Her childhood filled with days sewn together by doubt and uncertainty. Never secure enough to speak up, yet safely holed up behind her own protective walls and wards, built up over the yahren. Walls she protected with abject silence and painful passive anger.

But recently. Recently she had learned lessons which had opened her eyes to a different world. A world in which she did speak up. A world in which she fought for her right to exist. No longer did she sit idly by as people judged her for the choices she made. Be they bad or good. She had learned that control and logic were still parts of her life. She needed to control her emotions, lest her power lashed out randomly like it had before when she was younger. With that measure of control, she was free to respond to injustice with a power which could not be overpowered. Her reactions reigned supreme, for they resulted in the ultimate form of victory; the death of her opponents.

As she lay there, she basked in the glory of her conquests. She had taken the Summer Palace by force. She had learned to control the minds of single people. Even masses of people. She had sat atop the arena balcony and watched with pleasure as below her men fought to the death at her command, seemingly of their own volition. She grew in power with every drop of blood spilled around her. The men she had gathered which were loyal to her. The men she would have to conquer to take control of the city.

The Council of Nine.
The Roques.
The Trade Council.

Images of her training. Endless repetition of challenges placed before her by Ushuaia and herself. The movement of the elements, of water and earth. The control over the blood of others she had.

She saw herself destroy Raphael Terrel again, and again, and again. And she learned from this event. For the first time had she actively used gestures to command the blood. She had always kept her intentions secret by merely willing change. But her mind now told her, in retrospect, that she would have to step out of the shadow she had yet again created around her. No longer was Callara the pityful holed up shadow of a girl she once was. Her victories in Roque d'Ancourt, the city she despised so, had proven this. She had won a battle against what had turned out to be a formidable opponent. It was time, due time, that she claimed her rightful place in the world.

After she regained control of her limbs...

Callara completely blacked out and her consciousness disappeared. She would sleep, perchance dream, and eventually regain her memories. She would awake two marks later, alone and in a secluded room, comfortably resting in a bed at the Blue Parrot. Well, it would be comfortable, except for her aching heart and confused mind. Ronny was nowhere to be found, and there didn't seem to be anyone living inside the building.
