Sophus - The Gate Is Closed - The Way Is Shut

Post by Guest »

A building, much like an old keep, sits somewhat to the west of the center of the West End. Surrounded by well-kept grounds and a small park, this building can be easily identified by its flags and symbols as being Sophus college.

Splendid wooden gates open into a sort of courtyard, even if this one has a roof. Here, students are given ample comfort to sit and study, chat, or do whatever they feel needs to be done. Another large gate, this one without doors, leads to the actual college itself - many lecture halls and small, specialized libraries, which by their appearance seem old, if well-kept. The general atmosphere here is relaxed and informal, if somewhat charged with magical energy.

It all changed that fateful morning- the fourteenth of Samheen.

Before the larger gate- the one leading toward the main college, there is a gray-haired man sitting with a pipe fit firmly between his teeth. Standing up, he stretches and seems to sigh as he closes the gate- and within, the college suddenly seems still- reflective, even. The man seems rather troubled, and as soon as anyone approaches toward the college, he turns them away with a few murmured words and a forceful gesture.
