Soleil arrived at the castle a little bit late at the roeds were hard to travel. She enjoyed the sight along the place as the carriage brought her to the castle: hills around with flowers and a big forest. She got out of the carriage and smiled politely toward the servant in white-blue striped livery that awaited her on top of the stairs. Following him upstairs, Soleil was amazed at the size of the white room that was given to her: a large bed with canopy, feather filled cushions and matress - she was amazed at the bed and moved her pale hand on it to feel its softness. There was a wardrobe, a desk with a chair and a hearth. The young female walked to the the balcony and her eyes sparkled at the sight of the lovely garden that was filled with countryside flowers.

Coming back inside, Soleil noticed the red rose on the bed and read the small card of Guy de Reve: "I hope you have a wonderful time. I will await you below in the dining room. G.d.R."

A soft smile appeared on the Achadhiel's pink lips and she turned her attention to the manservant as he said "May I point out to milady that there will be a formal dinner, with a dansant afterwards, starting on the first mark of eveningtide? His lordship has provided every lady with a magnificent evening gown, so as to even out the chances. There are exactly enough dresses for all the guests, so if you prefer choice I advise you not to wait too long. You can find them on the rack in the dressing room just down the hall."

Soleil bowed her slender head to the servant and thanked him pleasantly. After he left, she walked to the dressing room and looked at the dresses. There weren't so many left, as the other female were here before her, but she still had a few to choice from.

Soleil picked up a beautiful dress in soft light blue color that went perfectly for her slime figure and dressed. After finishing, she went to her room to get ready for the formal dinner.

Upon her arrival upon the doorstep and her welcome by the manservant, Fialessa graciously followed up to the Aster room. Having only the small bag she had no real need for the giggling maids but she would offer no resistance to them if they wished to take it for her...

"Thank you..." Fia offered to the manservant as he pointed out the room, the evening's activities and where she might find suitable gowns. When she was left by herself she chanced to admire the rose left upon the bed and the note. He was mindful of the little touches she thought.

Thinking it best to find a gown she went to the room indicated and found there were precious few left. Her eye lit upon one that looked nearly of a size she could manage, the delicate silken gown was in a plummy shade of purple with silvery vines delicately embroidered along its edges. She smiled thinking it would go along with the aster moniker of her room to which she returned dress in hand.

With practiced skill, Fia prepared for the evening washing, dressing and applying powder, kohl and rouge with a light touch. She dressed her hair with a delicate silver comb shaped as a collection of ivy leaves and then placed on her earrings, beautifully wrought silver filagreed leaves with iolites and finally scent. A favourite of hers which she used sparingly as it tended to linger, as first the jasmin scent of it assailed the senses followed closely by vanilla and clove and undertones of cedar and sandalwood. There were other smells entwined within it but not as immediately recognizable.

Thus prepared she exited the room and began her exploration on the way to the dining room...

Saraby tipped her carriage driver and stepped out of the carriage with all the controlled grace of a trained fighter. The cloth of her cloak barely concealed the figure of a tallish, slim young woman. She removed her hood to reveal long, shining black hair and striking features. She greeted the manservant with a warm smile as he spoke.

"Welcome milady, on behalf of the Count de Chavignol. Will you please follow me? I will bring you to your room."

"Thank you," she said a little shyly (If only her brother could see her! Shy!). She lifted her own bags and followed after the servant as he took her up to her room. One slender black brow arched as she saw geraniums. They weren't exactly her favorite flower, but who was she to complain? Until much further notice, she'd be a guest in this house, and geraniums would be the least of her troubles. Suddenly, an object on the bed caught her notice.

Upon the cushion of the bed lay a red rose with a small card in the flowery handwriting of Guy de Reve:

Guy de Reve wrote:
I hope you have a wonderful time. I will await you below in the diningroom.

G.d.R.

Another quick smile warmed her face. Roses were her favorite flower. She picked it up and held it between her strong but slim hands, smiling.

The manservant coughed behind his hand.

"May I point out to milady that there will be a formal dinner, with a dansant afterwards, starting on the first mark of eveningtide? His lordship has provided every lady with a magnificent evening gown, so as to even out the chances," the man said pleasantly as soon as he was assured of attention "There are exactly enough dresses for all the guests, so if you prefer choice I advise you not to wait too long. You can find them on the rack in the dressing room just down the hall."

"Thank you again, sir," Saraby replied, and fished around in her purse for a coin. "For your trouble. Your master is blessed to have such capable men in his service." She meant it, too; having grown up in a wealthy home, Saraby well knew the value of good servants, and this one must obviously be a kind and patient man to deal with this unusual sort of contest.

Following the man's instructions, she made her way down the hall until she found the rack of gowns. The feel of the rich fabrics against her fingertips was strange but wonderful to her. At long last, she chose a long gown of rich crimson velvet. Returning to her room, she dressed and put a gold belt about her waist. It matched the gold embroidery on the gown and warmed her dark skin. It was unusual for her to dress in such finery now that she had left her father's house, but now dressed, she remembered what few lessons of etiquette she had tolerated. Her back straightened and her chin squared, and for once she felt like a true daughter of the House of Abbasaid.

With her long hair flowing freely down her back, Saraby put her mother's ruby necklace around her throat and applied the cosmetics she had bought just before leaving the Citadel. She used as little as she could get by with, only using enough to erase the traces of fatigue from her face. She examined herself in the mirror. Pleased, she picked up her skirts so they just barely edged floor and, with the elegant walk she had learned years ago, started down to the dining room.
Lallana

Time. Time had never been an issue for Lallana. Her honey eyes glanced at the quick and neat writing of the Count. ‘Competition is indeed in the air. How generous and yet, tantalizing.’ The Adheil quickly bowed her head; the evening’s aroma decorated the air at the palace. It was indeed beautiful, the architecture done right and the walls heightened with gold. A letter had been personalized addressing her of her quarters. Lavender had been her color as the irony defined the Count, regardless if he had been absent. ‘Busy acquainting the other fine women.’

As Lallana took her time heading towards her quarters, she noted the magnificence of the home. Well lit and well adored - clean and precise. She had been questioning how she was ever able to receive a letter from such a man. Stability showed gravely as her feet walked lightly towards her door. The halls spacious as moonlight was shun upon the floor. Lana cocked her head towards the right, finding her room and opening the door. A creak was heard as a strange man accompanied her. Her eyebrow arched as she moved out of his way, her boxes were set down with ease.

“Many thanks.” Lallana smiled, dimples forming on the sides. Her long hair had been naturally set down, kissing her hips and tickling her arms. Her honey eyes stared momentarily at the room from floor to ceiling and even the windows. The design was too beautiful and even from an Elf, this was far beyond the reach of her knowledge. It was all new and even this evening was new, yet exciting .

Lana moved towards the bathing quarter of her room, the process of washing with home herbs her mother picked out. The water had been a little chilly but warmer from what the woman had been use to, jumping through the forest and splashing through freezing water. She chuckled as her mind remembered the homebound adventures as she hummed gently, taking the water and cleansing her body.

After a nice bath, Lallana headed towards a box with a bow placed on top of it. It was a gift from her mother; a dress she had only worn but once and nearly ripped it to shreds. Luckily she paid handsomely to get it fixed and returned to normal decorations. It was a beautiful dress, well enchanting and provocative from the Adhiels nature.

As Lana readied herself and practiced solemnly, she noted the bed as well as the letter. Another small smile slightly crept upon her face gingerly. She opened it smoothly, feeling the texture of the expensive parchment. She read it with ease and calmness. ‘There are other women, possibly hundreds of them scattered throughout, why be one of those silly girls to ramp around and beg for attention?’

After reading the letter, Lallana set it back down in its card and sighed. “Right, dinner.” She smiled softly, gathering her gown and mending her damp hair as it had been neatly decorated in a simple and elegant bun. Not to mention it hurt to pull the strands of hair back, baring her shoulders, back, hips, right leg, and arms. She smiled seeing the image of herself in a mirror. She had the image of her mother, but spunk and wits of her father. She would hold that true.

As Lallana finished with her dressings, she headed out of her bedroom, shutting the door and remembering the layout and designs of the palace. She would later explore, in the meantime it was as though she was digging for a treasure hunt to find one man and many women. ‘Interesting.’ As she headed down the stairs, her eyes fixed upon the missed architecture, she smiled softly, calmly stepping down the stairs and listening, hearing laughs and maids rushing in and out.

When Lana found her way towards the elegant room, she couldn’t help but stand there for a brief moment.

Alexandrya had finally arrived. In fact, she was so very caught up in her thoughts that she did not even know how to managed to get here. She was indeed nervous but more curious if anything. She walked up to the steps and looked about soaking in the atmosphere and feeling out any unusual feelings,,.vibrations that she might get.

She raised her skirts a slight bit to take those steps up towards the door. She knew that this was the place. Hope so... She finally made it to the top and gave a soft smile when her bright eyes met the servant's eyes.

"Thank you." She murmured and nodded as the servant directed her to the Lily room.

The young Achadhiel grinned in delight as she looked about the room. "Lovely." She said to herself more than the servant. Her eyes looked over the room and as she read the note and picked up the flower. She heard the servant mention a dressing room and getting something for the party.

A ghost of a smile against appeared on her lips and she looked up, "Thank you for your advce...sir." She spoke, "I guess, I should get ready for dinner."

She put the rose back down on the bed and headed to where the servant had gestured towards and walked in.

Racks of dresses must have looked quite impressive of half of the racks were not empty. Nevertheless, she would make due with what was left. After a couple of minutes of searching, she found a lavender gown shot through with silver, and deep matching purple hues. Her light grey eyes sparkled with pleasure as her soft pink lips curved into a smile. Beautiful. She thought to herself as she put it up to her. The bottom is a little longer and she was worried that she might trip on the hem of her gown but the color would work well with her cool complexion.

She headed back to prepare for dinner.

As she looked into the mirror, her silvery white hair was swept upwards and pinned into place. The gown did fit a bit tightly in certain areas. She did have most of her mother's human physique and some of her fathers but she was never self-conscious of the way she looked. Even when the skirts of the gown bunched a bit about her ankles. She had picked out the best pair of shoes to remedy a bit of the problem hoping that flaw would go unseen. Besides, his Excellency will already be blinded by all the jewels already attending him.

Her slender fingers clasped the pendant her father had given her that slipped behind the bodice of the ball gown and she clutched it for a moment, squeezed it in her hand and said some whispered words. Then she tucked it away. To all, it was just a simple silver chain around her neck. Something she would never take off even when she bathes but that was her own personal information.

Alexandrya smiled at the image in the mirror. Simple but elegant...I hope... A thought passed through her mind as she looked about the room and then headed out. Time to meet the masses. She breathed out softly and headed towards the dinner hall.
