“What the –“
It was totally unexpected, and Adante had no time to ask questions. The achadiel instinctively sprung out of the table at the first sign of danger. He felt the adrenaline rush in every vein of his body, forcefully drowning all unnecessary thoughts of food, monetary problems and women. The word water immediately registered in his head.

Adante hastily scanned the area. He saw mostly liquor on top of occupied tables, including his. He cursed. Things could get worse, if the fire isn't extinguished soon enough. His eyes then landed on the kitchen's entrance, and he was off. He hastily darted towards the area, quickly pushing his feet off the ground and maximizing the length of his strides. He was certain that he would find water in the area. Didn't cooks wash their ingredients and meat before they cook them?

Before entering, he had caught someone saying something about the Firelords. It was indeed his first time to hear such a thing, but he didn't gave it a second thought. He was, as of now, intent on finding some water, and fast.

Adante nearly collided with Jess as the two aimed for the kitchen door, heeding Vince's call. The northern achadhiel narrowly beat the serving girl through, but then found himself confronted with a large and cluttered kitchen. The huge hearth flamed away beneath a large black cauldron, and the remains of a boar still hung from the spit upon which it was roasted. A long table stood in the middle of the room, covered in a controlled mess of pots, pans and the various other implements one needed to manage the cooking for an inn like the Safe Haven. Two kitchen staff looked up at the two when the door banged open, mouths agape at the forceful entrance.

"On the far side of the table, by the tall cabinet," said Jess as she breezed by Adante with a flash of dark hair - such was the advantage of knowing where everything was. "Grab a pail of sand from beneath the sink, and I'll bring water," she carried on over her shoulder, not slowing as she raced to the far side of the room.

"Fire in the courtyard," the achadhiel girl explained breathlessly to the two staff, who nodded immediately. The elder, a woman of substantial girth but kindly face, replied in no-nonsense fashion.

"We'll have more ready for you and others," the head cook confirmed.
