The script is in adhiel when applicable to the recipients, but otherwise painstakingly scribed in the plain common tongue of the human race. The letters are directed to local merchants involved in foodstuffs as well as local businesses that utilize such ingredients, such as the Gate, Madtooth's Mining Crew, and even the military commander, Lt. Tamerton, who - with all the mouths of the Honestus to feed - might appreciate a local source over the expense of portal deliveries.

"Sir (or) Madam,

It is with great pleasure I am announcing an endeavor, backed by Master Klebb, to provide this city with a steady source of grain, in its various forms -

She outlines the proposal of linking trade between Pax and Brie, as well as the variations of the grains they expect to be available. Her list ends with an expressed interest in any of their goods that might be available for shipping elsewhere. -

But back to the matter at hand, if you would be interested in stimulating our local economy, as well as helping to grow a route for trade - let us start with determining what level of interest you have, so we can calculate how best to meet demand. Once we determine your interest in this product, we will seek to provide the most reasonable cost while ensuring we accurately cover all our expenses.

Please take what time is necessary to determine your own needs, but we will be seeking to move forwards to establish this route as quickly as possible, and would prefer to give you an opportunity to join with the forerunners, than having to wait for our second shipment."

Sincerely,

Although supplies of basic foodstuffs and other necessities had improved in the days since the establishment of Pax, tradelinks were still hampered by the relative isolation of Pax and the cost of transporting goods through the portal. As a consequence, Kaelara received a positive response from most of those she contacted. It was clear that local traders would be willing to make considerable use of the supply route once it was established. Tamerton also gave a positive response on behalf of the guard. The involvement of Klebb was regarded as crucial by many as he was a well-respected leader of the council. The only major trader from whom Kaelara received no response was Dawgrim who perhaps already had his own established routes. In addition, a number of minor traders refused to be involved. One who refused commented cryptically: "Trader won't be happy about this."
