William frowned, the clerk forgot to tell him how much this man had to pay: "Wait here." He said to Yappet and turned around to ask the clerk.

The clerk looked at Ashtallion: "Oh, yes, yes i'm sorry. Wait one moment, I need to get some new parchment. This is all stained with ink."

He closed his eyes and stretched out his hand. The ink on his table vanished along with the stained parchment and a new scroll appeared in his hand.

"There that should do it. What was your name again and what Path do you want to follow?" He asked Ashtallion

While Williams back was turn Yappet darted back in.
Running up to the clerk "I'll be good, i promise" He slammed his hands on the desk. "I'l pay for the damamges, i promise, just don't mkae be go out there again... There was this person he kept looking at me. I'm afraid" Yappet was shaking and clutching the desk out of fear.

"William, take this man out of here please. I am sorry, sir but you have broken one of our rules and with your actions you've shown you have no discipline nor respect for those here that will be your superious. Short: You are a loose canon and we can't afford loose cannons in an institute of our standing. William, let the good man pay two lance for the damages done and please escort him out of here."

William placed a hand on Yappet's shoulder: "Follow me please..."

Yappet glared at him. "Fine!" Yappet said grabbing a pen and peice of paper. Scribbling quickly before William could show him out again he wrote

2 lances for damage to clothes

At which point Willie deicded to pull Yappet out again.
once outside Yappet told him "That peice of paper settles everything, the clerky guy will understand" Yappet disgruntled and upset walked down the street, trying to see just how much damage was done to his robe. He quickly took the first turn he found in case clerky guy didn't like the deal Yappet had made.[/i]

The clerk frowned: "Archmage? You mean a mage that is equally good in every aspect of his magic with nog advantages nor disadvantages? You know that that is nearly impossible to achieve. You would have to b a genius that you could focus on every aspect of magic equally. No, I think you understood me wrong: there are two Paths: that of a normal mage, with the possibility , although it is highly unlikly, to become an Archmage. And the Path of a Battlemage: mages whos magical training is one of the thoughest on Tazlure. Blade and magic training, magic to support combat-like situations."
The clerk smiled slightly: "What do you think, Ashtallion. Are you up to the challange of becoming a Battlemage? Or would you like to follow the Path of the scholars?"

Asht regarded the man....a slight fire burning in his eyes. The man didn't think he was up to the task of Archmage...but....he knew his own limits, perhaps they would be sorely pushed to achieve that level of excellence. Asht would settle for Battle Mage. "Then Battle Mage it is Sir, I seem to have little other choice....but then again, War is forever a threat, perhaps it is the more logical of the two....yes...Battle Mage. The man smiled: "Welcome to the University of Magics, Ashtallion Urdil. Before you're accepted as a student you need to see the Battle-General as all new Battlemages need to. William here," he nodded to the man who had thrown Yappet out and was still standing next to the clerk's desk, "will take you."

a Mark or so later Yappet came back, looking much like nothing had happened. This time instead of wearing his inked up white robes he was wearing a black cotton robe; its sleeves cut into strips at about an inch wide at the elbow so they swing when Yappet moves his arms. The robe reaches to the floor. It is tied at the waist with a black rope.

Sitting down at the desk he said in his best, calmest voice "Hello, i would like to inquire if this is the place to learn to be a magic man"

Anyone lokoing can see letters on his right arm, although they are backwards and don't seem to make any sense.

Yappet covered his arm "Its a note to myself, now if you'd please i would like to know if this is the place to become a magic man" Yappet looked straight ahead, glancing down at his arm every few seconds.

Yappet didn't flich as the man started ranting. "Where would you like me to go?" we asked calmly looking at the clerk whenh e had finished his rant. Yappet was tempted to go into a song and dance about so places. uncluding stairs. But one look at the letters on his hand stopped him.

Yappet crossed his eyes adn stared at his nose for a moment before digging out a lance and flipping it onto the table. After carefully examining it he procliamed "The gods have spoken, i'll do the scholary schoolery thing-a-ma-jig." The side of the coin had no real matter.

The clerk nodded: "In this case I think it would be best if you went to see the Battle-General before you commence your studies."
He took a new registration form and an inktstained feather: "And what would be your full name?"

"Yappetilion Armfidle Mindarean" Yappet said adding some gibberish to make his name sound strong and important. "When can i start?" Yappets eyes flick to the stairs, but he doesn't move

"Yappetilion Armfidle Mindarean" the clerk mumbled while he wrote down Yappet's name, "that has been noted. You should see the Battle-General for your final application. Give him this letter and do not open it." He smiled: "You might remember the stairs?"

He quickly wrote something down on a small piece of parchment and sealed it pressing in the seal of the University. In the meanwhile uttering eldritch sounding words and then handed it over to Yappet...

At that moment William came back and the clerk looked up: "Ah, William! Good! Take mister Yappet to the Battle-General."

William simply nodded and motioned Yappet to follow him.

Sam walked in, into the entrance. He walked in slowly, as his eyes pondered onto the great beauty of the building. It was magnificant. He had never seen such building, ever, in his life. Then he walked forward, up to the desk. He looked around, then faced the clerk, and asked: "Hello, sir. I would like to sign up for the University. Could you tell me more about this great and magnificant university?" Then, Sam looked away, waiting for the clerk to answer.
