Arresting Developments - Samheen 19 - Late MT

Post by Ulder »

After his meeting with the Major Domo, Ulder walked back to his office and began to author Lord de Winter's orders to be carried out immediately.

The order was short, simple and to the point, but left little to interpretation.

By the decree of Lord Marius de Winter,

Lady Isabella Florentina and Lord William Chamberlouse are to be brought to the dungeons for questioning in a highly sensitive matter. They are both to be treated with the utmost courtesy, respect and honor at all times, even if force is needed. They are not to be harmed unless absolutely necessary.

As soon as they are found, they are to be taken to the dungeons, checked for weapons, and then placed in separate, non- adjoining cells where they will be questioned by Lord de Winter and myself.

When one or both are in custody, notify both myself and Lord de Winter immediately.

Captain Ulder Synkaaros

He stamped the orders with his seal, and handed them over to be carried out.

Quickly afterwards, he wrote a second letter specifically from him.

To: Count Jacob de Bessnie

Dear Sir,

Although we have not met as of yet, I feel as if I know you well. After speaking with your service staff, I'm sure you are aware of a search of your home that was done by the Purple Guard in your absence. I was the one in charge of the Guardsmen that searched your home and property. This search was done at the insistence of Lord Andolin Azarin, the Master of Protocol, with whom I'm sure you are familiar.

I would like to speak to you about the circumstances of the search, and some interesting developments that took place while we were in your home. I think you will find what I have to say very interesting to say the least. If you will meet me in my office at your convenience, I would appreciate it very much. I have dispatched a small squad of men to escort you, should you desire their presence.

Please accept my sincere apologies for this matter. It was not my intent to conduct this type of business while you were away, but Lord Andolin insisted, and I could not refuse him at that time. We attempted to be very careful and respectful of your property, and if anything was damaged or missing as a result, I will endeavor to have it replaced immediately.

Thank you for your attention and discretion in this troubling matter.

Sincerely,

Captain Ulder Synkaaros.
Purple Guard.

He quickly sketched out the squad dispatch writ to accompany the letter, and ordered that the letter be delivered to Count de Bessnie with four men to escort the count immediately. Afterwards, he set out to satisfy his hungry stomach with lunch at the Burpin Dragon.
