Late on the 21st of Samheen a letter arrived, with the scent of roses.
Dear Master Treespan,
It would only be right if you refused to even read this letter. I have been forgetful and neglectant due to a number of issues that have demanded my attention at court.
I currently find myself with an interesting position with very little free time. However, I am as committed as ever to sit for you as I gave my word,my honor, and it still stands.

Unfortunately, there was such a clutter at Barrett's work station that the note quickly became buried amidst a pile of charts, maps and drawings. The young Dortman's seemingly endless marks of research had caused him to miss the appointment entirely.
Perhaps the rose scent would draw his attention when next he took a burn to rest... when that might occur, the Thinker alone knew.
