Tazlure's copyright policy is part of our Administrative Ethics and something we actively uphold. This is not just a legal point. We believe in supporting the original artists as well as seeking original content for Tazlure. For this reason we are more strict on the use of avatars than many other sites. If you are using an avatar please be sure to list a credit of the original artist in your profile and be ready to provide Tazlure Administration with written proof of the permission to use it.
When selecting avatars, it can be hard to know just what IS and what is NOT copyrighted, especially when you come across one of those oh so handy avatar sites that says "Here, use these as you will!"
Unfortunately, a lot of those avatar sites simply take pics willy nilly, from book covers, artists' websites and lots of other places, without getting permission, or even crediting the artist for their work. Even if they have a copyrights policy this is often not actively upheld.
To support our players we are currently keeping a list here https://tazlure.nl/board/viewtopic.php?t=1635 as to what Tazlure Administration recommends regarding certain sites. In the future we will try and offer a collection of avatars ourselves. Do you know of an avatar site that you want us to check out, or have you created original avatars that you will allow players of Tazlure to use on our site ?
