New to Roque d`Ancourt?

Post by Syrawenn »

Welcome to Roque d'Ancourt!!

A thriving city of nobles and courtiers, once only following the King’s lead to their summer residence, now a political force by itself. Although some nobles still choose to exchange Roque d’Ancourt for King’s Court before wintertime there is a growing population of those in search of a playground of their own.
Many a House has established a firm hold in the city’s economic and political ventures, making many forget that there was once such a thing as the Western King visiting. Starting out as infrequent visits they have all but ceased, creating the opening for a council of those that will guide the city to their best abilities. A stadholder is still in place, but the true power resides with the council.

For a city that grew from one monestary and a few fisherman’s houses Roque d’Ancourt has done remarkably well for itself. With the larger -and more important- mansions safely built on top of the cliffs that slowly grow alongside the Mer de la Luna, the commoners close to the harbours on the low grounds and the merchants nicely in the middle it represents the typical growing city where people can make their own opportunities or get lost trying.

If you are new to this intriguing place, please make your first post at The Gilded Gates.
If you are from Roque, you can start wherever you want. Just make sure to leave a note in the OOC forum to warn us of your new ventures.

Be sure to read the Recess Summary. before you start, since things have changed since the bloodnight on Samheen 29th.

Enjoy your stay and do not forget: life here is what you make it.
