Spinning Crimson- (Samheen 27 Gravetide)

Funny thing, people always seemed to think halflings were too stout to be graceful. The halfling lady twirling across the floor certainly didn't seem to think so, nor did anyone who might be watching her. The room, although not expansive, left plenty of space for her to dance without crashing into the elegant bar along one side, or the small tables around the edge of the room. There were many windows, and each was hung with emerald-coloured curtains that from the centre of the room seemed to sparkle with stars and reflections of the somewhat dimly lit room. Really, it was just glass beads and silver coloured thread embroidered into the curtains.
The floor was dark wood, highly polished, although becoming scuffed as the night wore on, and many dancers crossed it. The kind of floor that made no secret of dancers' footfalls. The lady whirling across and around the room hardly made a sound, a sharp contrast to the loud clacking her shoes had made as she entered a few marks earlier. After purchasing a drink, as yet unidentified to anyone aside from the barmaid, she had begun to dance. And she continued, her red dress flowing out into a wide circle as she spun, surrounding her in a scarlet halo. Gold barrettes held her curly blond-brown hair back from her face, revealing green eyes and a face flushed from dancing the gravetide away. However, she danced mainly with her eyes closed, and one got the sense that if she noticed someone watching her a bit too intently, the exertion flush would darken with embarrassment, and she would scurry back out the door.
