Tel'Aranae Quessir closed...

<b><center>Samheen 10, late morning</b></center>

The guard at the gates had seen the clouds of dust being raised by the hooves of horses earlier that morning and alerted the Emerald Guard, they had sent out scouts but none of them had returned. The guard and the small detachment of the Emerald Guard that had remained in the city stood behind the closed gates waiting until the riders came into view: suddenly the road that seemed empty only a few moments ago was filled with a dozen riders, all clad in the green-hued plate of the Emerald Guard. Most remarkable was the woman riding in the middle, her green robes flowing around her, as the wind played with them. She radiated authority, power and… rage.

Quickly the gates were opened when the Avatar was recognized and she rode through without concern for the captain of the small detachment that offered his warm words of welcome. The Avatar and her Guards rode straight to the Palace and disappeared inside. At noon something happened that the people of Tel’Aranae Quessir hadn’t witnessed in a long while. The Tari made her appearance outside the Palace, addressing her people from a balcony on the Palace. Her regal voice rang carried over the crowd: “We are betrayed! Our beloved niece is a prisoner of the Humans! A student of the Avatar is murdered! No men shall enter our lands until this terrible betrayal can be paid in blood! On our command shall the roads to our lands be guarded and none shall enter!”
