The scroll was on heavyweight parchement with a seal that contained the old weapon of Muchislie before the overturn.

Samheen 15th

The Lord Treasurer of his Highness' Royal Council, in charge of the investigation of the conspiracy against Ceasar hereby kindly requests your presence at the fifth mark of eveningtide at his Mansion, to discuss recent developments.

Sincerely,

To the Guildmaster

Samheen 15;

To: Guildmaster Laribedo

It is I, Adrian. I am sick and tired of seeing my faith and my family get stomped on by whomever seems to be behind all this madness. I know I am green to this game, but I am entering myself into it under the contract of Lady Hamilton. I am keeping the promises we made, but will be looking at all possible angles to find the culprit of this whole mess. Although I doubt that such may be the case, even if one of our own may have been the cause of the massacre at the festival, I must take into account all the information. I trust about everyone, save you, about as far as I can blow my nose.

Please understand my need to take a neutral stance on this. Someone on the inside could very well indeed be in with whomever is causing this rukus... hence why they were so easy to take over and close the guild. Watch your back, and I'll watch mine. If you need to get in contact with me somehow, keep it to letters. I know that every wall has at least one set of ears in these frightening times. If you have any ideas on anyone or anything to keep an eye on, let me know.

The Wild Rose

P.S. You might want to commit this letter to memory and burn it. Only the gods know who may be lurking, and I want my messages to you to be as hushed as possible.

The folded sealed note that Zhavon handed Andolin was from Guildmaster Larbeido.

Lord Azarin,

Per our discussion earlier today, This is Zhavon who will assist you as a page. While she's not had ettiquette classes yet, I feel she has the refinement to be of assistance though she may need some gentle guidance at times. I appreciate your willingness to protect these Roses until things blow over.

Sincerely,
Guildmaster Larbeido

Sent by page on the morning of the 15th into the hand of Lady Isabella Florentine;

Dearest Isa,

I am so relieved to hear that you and Andolin both made it safely away. The events of the past few days have left my head completely turned and very frankly, I do not know what the Palace is coming to. I can only hope that milord deWinter proves as great a protector in the future as he did just a short time ago.

As for the work- do not think of it! You must look to your own needs just now, and a new protector in Dort may be the wisest thing to do until things have calmed here. I am certain this tournement will proceed as planned, although your gracious touch will be sorely missed- as will you, yourself.

Take good care, and send word from Dort if you are able. Should you need anything, let me know and I will try to procure it for you if it lies within my power.

There is so much more that I might say- but not in a letter such as this! I wish there was time for a comfortable coze with you, but this shall have to suffice for now. Safe journey to you and never fear- I will keep my eye on *everything* (underscored) in the Office until your return.

Love, Rees

by Palace page into the hand of Vanir Elfhame;

Vanir-

Yes, much of import has happened here. I apologize for not replying sooner, but there is much that I might tell you. Will you join me for breakfast in the South Solar tomorrow? I will be there in the third hour of Morningtide and would enjoy your company.

Fond regards, Rees de Otaro

The missive was on a plain scroll, sent by way of Palace page to the residence of the Master of Protocol.

Lord Azarin,

There is much that has occured that requires more than a bit of communicating upon- in such trying times as these, it is best to concentrate our focus upon the real opponent, and let any grudges we may hold fall away.

At the request of the Major Domus, Lord Marius de Winter, I consider it quite appropriate for the pair of us to meet in the Palace garden, to discuss Matters of Great Importance.

Master Barracus,

As it is the will of the Major Domus, I shall meet you in the gardens at the turn on gravetide, after the Candle Ceremony and Caesar's dinner. I shall be most interested to hear of such matters.

I Remain,
Lord Azarin

Early tradetide, Samheen 15th

Send by messenger, to be paid an extra lance upon receiving the letter into the hands of Lady Otaro. The note is on bare parchement, scribbled fast.

Dear Rees,

When you read this, I will have boarded for my depature to Dort. I've been informed this trip may take longer than expected, up to two weeks, which has me worried. The political tide from Muchislie might be shifting. Please tell our shared Aquintances of this happenstance.

I will of course return as soon as I am able. In times of need please send word via the Pecunia temples. I'm told they have a way to send short messages in hours rather than days to far off locations (for a price of course).

I am much assured that you will keep an eye on our interests. The light walks in mysterious ways after all, and seeks the twilight on occasion. Give my regards to Lord Robin. Would be interested to know who has joined our slightly depleted circle. If any weddings, royal or sorcerous ones, are in the offing, please let me know as well. You know how I hate to be out of the loop. The last I heard she was blond...

Alas, have no time left to share all that I know. Wish we had other means of communication. Be well!

Love,

Isa

The young lad had looked everywhere for Lord Azarin. He'd been pd a lance to deliver this into the lord's hands only with the promise of three more once the job was accomplished. He'd been told to check the lord's house adjoining the palace, then the dining hall or perhaps the lord's office. He'd not located him at any of those locations and was loath to return with the note undeliverd and time was running out. It wasn't exactly into his hands, but who else would find it scooted under the lord's door, the young man reasoned as he slipped it under and headed back to the lady who'd given it for the rest of his payment, eyes alight with the wonder of success and the coming reward. Inside, the neat handwriting had been penned quickly and not blotted well before folding, causing some smears and blots.

My dear Andolin,

I arrived home to discover that my father had arranged an escort for me this evening. He claims it was a last minute event, hence the reason I was not told ahead of time. I have no idea what this shall mean to our promise of a dance my love. I felt compelled to let you know lest you be taken by surprise.

Yours heart and soul,
Kitlanya

To Lady Hamilton SH 16 (TT)

Post by Adrian Elsonrae »

An envalope without a seal graced Lady Hamilton's desk with a strand of midnight blue ribbon on the inside with a carefully-written message on the inside in Adhiel;

< The Star of Pan weeps for our sorrow
And I am Pan's eternal servant
As the star shines, shall I wipe the tears from your eyes
Us walking in the blessed blue
>

~ A.E.

The spelling was flawless, though the sentance structure may be knit-picked by some who were more picky about phonics than others.
