Anora smiled back at Varesh, thinking herself quite clever to have made him think at her answer. She didn't know why she felt so proud, but she did. She finished off the last little bit on her plate, her stomach slightly protesting at the amount of food it had consumed. It was quite strange for her to have such a meal, normally subsisting on what she could steal from vendors or use her pilfered money on. It didn't quite know what to do with such a feast.
"Indeed," she said in agreement with Jorel, then her stomach gave a rumble, a gurguling sensation moving quickly up her chest, through her throat and then...BELCH. A most unladylike sound, to be sure, but it caused her to laugh brightly. "Excuse me," she offered after she got her giggles under control. "Better out than in."

Varesh found the burp rather amusing, Jorel upraised finger stopping the old man from replying with a burp of his own, before the, now relaxed, boy offered another explanation of accepted manners, mentioning how burps were indeed considered good manners in certain parts of Tazlure, but were, even there, reserved as direct compliments to the chef who was not present in the room this time. They spent the next half a mark sipping wine and chatting about various subjects, Varesh finally announcing that he had an appointment in the morning he had to prepare for. Jorel escorted Anora down and, per Varesh' instructions, took her all the way to her room, along with a small package which would later be revealed as the desert she was promised. Upon a base of biscuits dipped in coffee cooked in milk, rested a layer of sweet cream, with a thin layer of chocolate on top of it all.
