The Poetry Contest!

There will be a poetry contest during the dinner. The poetry is in honor of the betrothal of Anochrim and Aesa and must reflect that some how. It will be judged and the winners will receive prizes!!

Prizes

1st Place: Royal Poet at the Wedding Ceremony, a special signet ring and 1 crown.

2nd Place: 2 coronet

3rd Place: 1 coronet

Sorry if a question about this contest doesn't go here, but here it is anyway.

If my character doesn't have poetry skill, can he still participate in the contest?

Certainly!

One can always attempt anything. If you don't have a skill, it is a good way to earn it.

And the contest will be based on the actual poem created and the roleplaying presentation of it, not if you have the skill or not.

Edit: Well, after trying last night and some of today to think up a poem, I decided I'm not going to be able to come up with a good one. So, I'm withdrawing from the contest and editing my post.

There once was a Caesar dubbed "Cranky,"
Who greeted flowers with a hanky,
Linking with a lady of snow,
Which was done all for show,
Tis a sad state of affairs, speaking frankly.

I'm sure it will make an impression on Caesar. :roll:
